Today was Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Day. Tanner had a wonderful time celebrating one of his all time favorite authors at school.
The Cat in the Hat came and read to his class! Hum, that Cat in the Hat looks an awful lot like my most wonderful teaching partner!
Thing One and Thing Two snuck into Tanner’s classroom while they were at the library and caused an awful mess. The students had to trap those mischievous twosome and clean up after them!
Tanner also read many of his favorite Dr. Seuss books today. He read the book Go, Dog, Go (all 64 pages!) all the way through in one sitting today for the first time, not once but 5 times! He usually poops out about half way through these longer books and asks us to finish reading them to him. He is becoming quite the reader!!
And of course we had to have green eggs and ham for dinner – except Tanner requested that we don’t make them green, too gross!! Now where is the fun in that??
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss and thanks for all the wonderful stories you left for us to enjoy!
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” Dr. Seuss
