Sharks!

IMG_5874

Tanner has been way into ocean animals, especially sharks lately and he has been begging to go see a real shark. Well when you are located in the middle of the United States there is not a lot of opportunities to see sharks, but thank goodness Denver has an aquarium and thank goodness they have sharks. We took Tanner to the aquarium yesterday and had a wonderful time. It was not crowded at all so we were able to sit down, relax, and watch the fish swim by. We saw fish, lots of fish, turtles, birds, tigers, crabs, lobsters, and SHARKS. Tanner was so excited to get to the sharks that he would had missed half of the other animals if we hadn't of made him slow down and look at everything. Tanner was a little disappointed that they did not have a Great White or Hammerhead Shark (hello, we are surrounded by land!), but he was very impressed with what he did see. I think we are going to have to plan a trip to Sea World soon! And fact of the day. Did you know that star fish and not called star fish anymore, but sea stars because they are not fish, same thing with jellyfish, but I don't remember their new name right now, maybe jelly blobs???

Here are some more pictures of our adventure.

Up close encounter with a shark. At first Tanner would not touch the glass or get that close, it was pretty funny!
