We got our first snow last night (and it continued snowing today!) and it was a doozy! I think the official total was 11.5 inches! That’s pretty good for our first snow! I love that it is still snowing in this picture!
Unfortunately school was not closed because in typical Colorado fashion it was 80 degrees just two days ago so the streets were nice and warm and so the snow didn’t stick to the streets – bummer! And even more unfortunate there were still a lot of leaves on the trees and with all this heavy snow a lot of tree branches broke. We lost one nice limb in our backyard.
So the kids all had to go play in the snow before they had even eaten breakfast and the snowsuits just went right on over the P.J.s! Silly kids!
This is Carter’s first time walking in snow and really probably the first memorable snow for both Avery and Carter.
Not at all unexpected this cute little boy LOVED the snow, especially eating the snow! He takes after his older brother. He did not want to come in even though it was freezing!!!
Avery well the snow was okay, she wanted to get all bundled up and go out in it and then was just fine coming back inside! She’s going to be just like her mommy in that respect! She looked like a little purple marshmallow!
The little kids made a cute little snowman with babysitter Michele, it had a carrot nose and all! I had just bought this hat a couple days before because I thought it would make a perfect snowman hat!
What a bunch of cuties! Tanner came home from school and played outside in the snow for over 2 hours straight! I think he was just a little excited about the new snow! Tomorrow it’s supposed to still be cold and then begin to warm up. We will probably be back in our short sleeves by next week! Colorado weather – it’s crazy!
