Reporting for Duty: Sergeant Tanner

Tanner had another memorable day today.  We went down to Aurora to visit Grandma and Grandpa McIntosh.  Tanner was so excited to go because he wanted to ask Grandpa all about his military days and check out some of his GEAR!  Promptly after arriving,  Tanner was hardly in the door before he was asking Grandpa to see some of his military stuff.  Grandpa happily spent some time with Tanner and showed him everything from medals, dress blues, fatigue uniforms, weapons….OK just kidding on the weapons, although Tanner would have loved to see those.  After hanging out at at the folks house, we headed over to Buckley Air Force Base.  Tanner was so excited for this as well.   In fact, I think he was so excited he got up extra early around 5 am and wanted to wear all his camo gear all day!  I had been telling Tanner all about the “Air Force Base” all week long so his excitement was self induced.  Anyhow,  we headed over to the base and took Tanner around to see some of the aircraft on the base as well as to see the flight line.

Tanner especially enjoyed the F-16’s .  Take a look at some of the cool stuff he was able to see.  He was so excited running from plane to plane.    11222008 (14)

We also found out that stores on the base are OK just because “they are on the military base”.  It is really cool when you get spoiled by Grandpa.  Check out my military bears!
