McIntosh Times: He Is a Soccer Star!

What a difference a year makes! One year ago I was dragging a crying child to soccer practice. During games Tanner had no idea what he was doing as he ran 5 feet behind the ball and other players. There were times that Don and I did not want to claim Tanner as our child when the ball was literally in front of his foot and he looked at it instead of kicking it during a game. But one year later and what a difference. Fall soccer has begun and Tanner had his first game yesterday. Our favorite five year old scored three, yes that was THREE goals. Now we are not parents that count every goal their child makes (okay just this one game) but we were so impressed how Tanner just finally GOT IT! And not only does he get into the action - he LIKES IT! Tanner is so excited about his soccer games and practice. Darn, it looks like I'm going to have to be a soccer mom after all.
