Weekend Fun!

We had some great family fun this last weekend. Don's cousin, his wife and two kids were visiting from Alaska so we went down to Don's aunt's house for a family barbeque. Tanner had a great time playing with his second cousins especially when Grandma McIntosh spoiled them with new water guns and some other toys.

The food was delicious and it was nice to visit with everyone. Too bad we all live so far away, the boys all got along really well. I think we are going to have to plan a trip to Alaska soon!

On Sunday after church we spent the whole day at the mall. Yes we beat the hot weather by shopping. Now I am not a mall person, in fact I don't really enjoy shopping unless it involves a book store, home decorating or scrap booking supplies. But about a year ago Don won a $50.00 gift certificate to this big mall nearby and we decided we better use it before we lose it! So we ate lunch at the food court, got lots of yummy candy at the big candy shop, drooled over all the fun toys at the Apple store, bought Tanner new soccer cleats and then daddy spoiled him with this.

A new Power Ranger backpack AND lunch box from the Disney Store for kindergarten. Tanner is so excited! Wow Don, what a guy, you didn't buy one thing for yourself with the gift certificate that you won! Thanks - we had a fun day!
