Twelve Days Old!

Brynn had her first doctor appointment today and all is well! She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. when she was born and when we left the hospital two days later she was down to 7 lbs. 3 oz. Well today she weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs. 4 oz. She gained just over a pound in 10 days. So obviously she is doing fine in the eating department!! Let's just hope this continues and she doesn't turn into a picky never wants to eat child like Tanner. This is what else Brynn is doing at 12 days old.

Still is a great sleeper although she is waking up now for the dreaded 3:00 a.m. feeding, oh well it was nice while it lasted. The great thing is that Brynn eats in 15-20 minutes and then almost every time falls right back to sleep. No rocking or pacing the halls with her, it's the best!

We don't think she is going to be a pacifier baby. She uses it occasionally, but doesn't seem to really like it.

She has a really good and loud cry. When she wakes up she wants to be fed and if you don't get her food almost instantly she will cry (loudly) until she gets what she wants. Oh dear, we hope this doesn't keep up! She also does not like diaper changes, but then who does!

Brynn does LOVE to be swaddled and cuddled and absolutely loves her swing. If she is fussy, swaddling her and putting her in the swing puts her right to sleep.

She already has great head control and will lift up her head and look around. She was doing this on the day she was born!

I am having so much fun taking pictures of her and dressing her up (I don't know how much fun she is having, but she hasn't complained too much). We love the hair bows! A lot of the 0-3 month outfits are still a little big on her so she is just wearing the few newborn outfits she has, but give her a couple more weeks and we are going to have lots of cute clothes to dress up in.

Tanner still absolutely adores his little sister and loves to give her hugs and kisses (we had to make a rule of only kissing her on the head, I was afraid he was going to smother her and the germs. . .) He still mostly calls her baby or babes, he'll ask "Why is my babes crying?" First thing he does in the morning or when he comes home is ask where his baby is and go see her.
It is very cute. I am a little put out that Brynn is getting more kisses then mom is these days.


That's our baby girl at 12 days old! Wow I can't believe it's already been 12 days.
